The diagram shows the manufacturing process for making sugar from sugar cane.

The diagram shows how sugar is produced from sugar cane. Overall, this operation involves seven steps, two of which happen on farms where sugar plantation takes place, and the rest are conducted in a facility where various devices and techniques are used to turn the sugar cane into liquid and, ultimately, sugar.
The first two steps involve the plantation and harvest of sugar cane. This crop takes about 12 to 18 months to grow and prepare for harvest, and when the time comes, harvesting this plant is conducted either traditionally (by the hands of farmers) or using modern agricultural machines. The final product is then transferred to a facility to be processed.
The second stage of manufacturing is a five-step process. Step 1 is a crusher, a device whose input is sugar cane, which crushes it to the point that a particular juice is extracted from the cane. The resulting substance will need purification, for which a limestone filter has to be used. The purified liquid then goes through heating in a cylinder-shaped container called the evaporator. What remains in the evaporator, namely the syrup, is put in a centrifuge to extract its sugar crystals, which are cooled and dried in the final step.
